"For you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars, see that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, for nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom" Matthew 24:6-7
We have seen our share of wars and many of us have even fought in one, But there seems to be one brewing which will bring us to the ultimate war, called "The battle of Armageddon".
For several years now we have witnessed and heard the President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad say and I quote..."To put Israel into a coma"
and the Palestinian leadership has said..."We will not give up our goal of destroying Israel" There seems to be an evil force that is driving the Muslim people to not only drive Israel from her land but to literally annihilate her.
This hatrid of the Jewish people boils back to the time of Abraham who is known as as "The Father of many Nations"
In Genesis chapters 16-18 We learn that God had promised Abraham and his wife Sarah a son that would be an heir to Abraham.
When several years had passed and no son, they became impatient and so Sarah sent in her Maidservent Hagar to Abraham. Hagar bore a son to Abraham and they named him Ishmael.
Thirteen years later Sarah finally bore the son whom God had promised to her and Abraham, they named him Isaac.
The impatience Of Abraham and Sarah is the crux of the problem that has plagued the Jewish people for eons.
The muslim people stem from Abraham's son Ishmael.
The Jewish people stem from Abraham's son Isaac.
Lets look at what God says of the two boys....
Gen.17:20 "And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee, behold I have blessed him and will make him fruitful, I will multiply him exceedingly, twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation"
Gen.17:21 ""But my covenant will I establish with Isaac".
Both blessings are good, but one has a twist to it.
"My Covenant" This covenant is all inclusive, meaning "My chosen people"
Can you see and feel the division here? Ishmael decendents feel cheated and so this is where the hatrid begins and has been passed down from generation to generation.
This hatrid and evil force will lead to the ultimate battle called "Armageddon".
Iran, known as ancient Persia is prophesied in Ezekiel 38 as teaming up with Russia also known as Gog the land of Magog.
This alliance with Russia and Iran has over the past several years been established and they now have deep economic ties including arms and oil deals that link them as allies.
Ezekiel 38:18-23 dipicts both nations teaming up and coming down from the North upon Israel, They will not prevail because we learn through Scripture that God will prevail and protect His "Covenant"
This battle will usher in the "greatest earthquake" and "one hundred pound hailstones" that man has ever seen...Look at Ezekiel ch.38 and also Revelation 16:15-21
